Three Quick Fantasy Baseball Streaming Option for 4/28/10

Apr 28, 2010

Here are some pitchers you can plug into your lineup today.

Mike Leake, Cincinnati Reds
I have little to no confidence in Houston’s ability to score runs. Despite giving up five runs in 7 innings his last time out, Leake owns a 3.92 ERA. After walking 12 in his first two starts he had just one last time. He’s a decent option to pick up a win. His ERA shouldn’t be terrible, and with 13 strikeouts in three starts, he should be good for about 4 Ks.
Result:  Win, 7 IP, 1 Run, 5 Ks

Kevin Correia, San Diego Padres
Correia is quietly 3-1 with a 3.13 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP, and 22 Ks in 23 innings. I’d be more confident if he were pitching at home, but he’s worth taking a shot on against the Marlins.
Result:  Win, 5 IP, 4 Runs, 4 Ks

Ervin Santana, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Santana has been smacked around in three of his four starts. He was so brilliant in that fourth start that his ERA sits at 4.73 heading into today’s tilt with Cleveland. Ervin has 20 Ks in 26-2/3 innings. He’s a good bet for a W, low ERA & WHIP, and solid strikeout numbers.
Result:  ND, 6-2/3 IP, 3 Runs, 8 Ks

Today’s Totals:  2-0,  18-2/3 IP, 8 Runs, 17 Ks
Yesterday’s Streamers:  0-2, 20 IP, 7 Runs, 9 Ks
Season Totals:  12-10, 207 IP, 76 Earned Runs (3.30 ERA), 130 Ks
