Is It Time to Get These Key Players Currently Hitting Form into Your Roster?

As the league heads into the tail end of the season, making the right decisions about your squad rotation becomes even more important to your side making the playoffs. Some players may start to drop off due to fatigue, but others start to hit a bit of form and can be instrumental in giving your squad the final push. Let’s take a look at a few standouts that could be a major asset to your team as we move into the final quarter of the year.

Julio Jones – Atlanta Falcons

After an extremely quiet first ten games, in which he managed just one touchdown, Jones sprung into life against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, much to the delight of offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. He tripled his season total of touchdowns and raked in an impressive fantasy score of 50.8, the highest of the season so far. It is the first time since Le’Veon Bell scored a huge 51.8 back in week 14 2016, that any player has scored 50-plus PDR fantasy points. Even more outstanding was the fact that no wide receiver had accomplished the feat since Calvin Johnson claimed 50.9 in week 8 of 2013.
Not only did he go over for two touchdowns, he also pulled 12 receptions for an incredible 253 yards. The question is now whether or not we are going to start to see the best of Jones on a regular basis, however, after that performance he is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Antonio Brown – Pittsburgh Steelers

Brown is coming off the back of reaching the 40-point margin for the second consecutive week, and he doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon. He is one of only four wide receivers to accomplish back-to-back 40 points or more games this century, and the first since Josh Gordon back in weeks 12 and 13 of the 2013 season.
He continues to bring in the big numbers and is one of the most vital players in a Pittsburgh team that continues to set the benchmark for defense in the league. So extraordinary have the Steelers results been this year, that they’ve now moved into third-favorite to win the Super Bowl at +600. The New England Patriots at +275 are still the bookmakers’ choice for the trophy, with the Philadelphia Eagles just behind them on +450. It’s easy to see why the Steelers have tightened their grip on the Patriots, though, and if you have a good read of their upcoming matches they look like a team that will finish strong.

Alvin Kamara – New Orleans Saints

This kid has had an amazing rookie season so far as he continues to go from strength to strength. His 30.8 PDR fantasy score against the Los Angeles Rams gave him his fourth consecutive game with at least 20 points, and also made him only the 11th rookie running back to achieve a streak of that length or longer since 1950.
His total of 217.4 fantasy points after week 12 makes him the second-highest amongst the running backs, and puts him on target for a 316.2-PDR-point rookie maiden season. Kamara continues to be consistent and improve with each game, and he is tearing it up through the fantasy ranks at present.
If you don’t have these three in your squad currently, it may be time to think about adding one of them to your roster. Making those key changes at this point of the year is sometimes the difference between success and failure and snatching up one of those playoff positions.
