    Wow I haven’t read about Wally Backman in ages. I like when you do these posts Les, good stuff. Bob Welch was one of the first non-Yankee players I ever liked. Mainly because I associated him with Welsh’s grape juice. He played for the A’s if I remember correctly right?

    I knew he was an A somewhere along the way, I remember that big green A on his hat for some reason. There’s a portion of my brain I’ll never get back.

    LOL. He won 27 one year for the A’s when he took home the Cy. I maintain that Clemens got screwed out of the Cy that year. He made up for it though. I’m sure he screwed some Cy Youngs away from guys in his PED years.
